Stripping away the heavy percussion to focus on the interplay of bass, keys, & guitar, they deliver a lush, full-band sound that remains conversation-friendly. Their repertoire is a carefully curated journey through the golden era of pop rock radio—blending classics from Van Morrison, Billy Joel, Gordon Lightfoot, Fleetwood Mac & the Eagles with the sophisticated, velvet grooves of Sade, Chic, Roberta Flack & Norah Jones.

Gold Dust Drive is the result of three longtime music industry veterans coming together to celebrate the songs that defined an era. The band’s foundation is built on the remarkable vocal talents of Jenny Vodarek and Steve Prentice.
Jenny Vodarek is a trained jazz singer with a superb vocal range and the ability to deliver lyrics with deep conviction. An accomplished pianist and keyboardist, she provides the melodic heart of the trio.
Steve Prentice, a seasoned guitarist & professional solo performer helped form Gold Dust Drive to pursue his passion for harmony singing & the classic radio rock that shaped his musical identity.
The two are rounded out by Danny King, a versatile bassist whose career has spanned the worlds of rock, country, folk, blues & jazz. His ability to lock into a groove provides the band’s signature “drive.”
Together, their shared experience yields a polished, intuitive musical chemistry that grows from a genuine love for the music.

Jenny Vodarek | Vocals & Keyboards
With a background in formal jazz training, Jenny is a well-known vocal teacher in Milton. Her passion for classic pop vocals allows her to “get inside” a song & ensures every performance is delivered with conviction. Whether she’s laying down a velvet piano groove or soaring on a high harmony, Jenny’s presence is the heart of the band’s sophisticated sound.

Steve Prentice | Vocals & Guitars

Steve adds the “Gold Dust”—that shimmering acoustic and electric layer that defines the era’s sound.

Danny King | Electric Bass
The quintessential “musician’s musician,” Danny is the rhythmic anchor of the trio. His deep versatility allows him to move seamlessly between the pocket-grooves of 70s disco, the grit of classic rock, and the storytelling of folk and country. Danny’s playing provides the “Drive” in the band’s name, ensuring the music feels full and danceable even without a drum kit.
